My media library in WP Admin shows the image has been uploaded to the folder: wp-content/uploads/2017/07.
But I cannot see the folder in wp-content/uploads on the server using Filezilla.
There is just one empty folder in wp-content/uploads for 2017 – and that’s /01/. Folders for subsequent months have not been created.
All images publish to my website – it seems as if folders in wp-content/uploads/2017 exist someplace but are hidden.
All other years have monthly folders and images.
    Any help appreciated.

Can you please check by pasting following link in your browser? and then tell me what happened?

    http://www.sitename.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/imagename.jpg

Have you changed the site URL and image name in my previous given example url?

If possible please provide site URL.

    Sorry, my mistake.
However, the links are okay – as below.

I did add SSL cert some months ago and changed site url from http:// to https://
    Could that be issue?

    Sagar Prajapati

    (@sagarprajapati)

Yup that may be issue. A above image url as you given above its working for me.

    Yes url links work.
The problem is that the My media library in WP Admin shows the image has been uploaded to the folder: wp-content/uploads/2017/07.
But I cannot see the folder in wp-content/uploads on the server using Filezilla.
Folders are not visible for each month.

Maybe you have tried to find this in the wrong server.

Upload one dummy image to your wp-content folder using filezilla. And then try to open that using browser. So we can make sure it’s right server or not.

Note: do note forgot to change image name in above URL.

I uploaded an image using Filezilla to folder wp-content/uploads/2017/01. See url below but getting 404 error.
    http://www.mayo.me/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/lighthouse.jpg

I also uploaded same image to a test post. It published successfully and also gives a url link to Uploads folder as follows:
    https://www.mayo.me/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/lighthouse.jpg

This folder wp-content/uploads/2017/07/ is not visible on the server.

It seems there are folders containing my uploaded images in wp-content/uploads/2017 – but they are invisible!
So the question is how do I make the folders visible?

    Sagar Prajapati

    (@sagarprajapati)

As per the 404 error. It’s seem you have tried to upload in wrong server. For detail check I will need access.
