It seems to be on your sub pages the image references are linking to this url: http://i0.wp.com/ which doesn’t work.
Currently a broken image links to: http://i0.wp.com/dougiescott.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/bt_round824.png?resize=918%2C610
If you remove the i0.wp.com reference and replace it with this it works: http://dougiescott.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/bt_round824.png?resize=918%2C610

Thanks so far – Now next stupid question – How do I remove the i0.wp.com reference?
I’m not a frequent enough user to understand how or where this happens. thx
It might be a bit of a manual task but in the editor under the html tab just remove the reference in the img tag.

Thanks for that – So far I have been spared doing it manually.
I had a look round for ways of losing the i0.wp.com bit and here’s what I found:
Some suggested turning off Jetpack Photon which I did ( this could lose speed of site but as I didn’t have any pictures it seemed a no brainer)
and another forum said to go to
Dashboard>
Settings>
Media>
then untick box ‘ Organise my uploads into month and year folders’
I did both and my pictures have pretty much come back except I’ve lost most of my FB ones!
Touch wood… thx
