Support » Localhost Installs » no image in the image editor

    I am running the most recent version of WordPress on AMMPS, and as the title states, when I click on the edit image button, I am taken to the edit page but there is no image to crop, etc. There is a thumbnail, but no large image. Otherwise, images work fine — I just can’t edit them.

    I should point out that the image editor works fine on the default themes (2015, 2016, 2017), but not on the custom theme I am developing.

    I know this has come up before, but none of the suggestions I have read seem to apply to me or work for me. For example, I do not have a closing PHP bracket “?>” in functions.php (Based on stack overflow, that seems to have worked for some people).

    Any suggestions?

    Did you add any image sizes in your theme? See https://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Thumbnails WordPress stores all images in several sizes and you can add your own. If you would only allow one small thumbnail as a size that could be the only one loaded. Example:

    /*image sizes*/
    add_image_size('ianua-thumbnail', 75, 75, true);
    add_image_size('ianua-post-featured', 603, 500,  true);

    Or did you mean you see the thumbnail in the sidebar in edit mode, but not the image to crop to the left? In that case are there any errors in the browser console log?
