    Hello.
    I've just installed Bushwick, on my self hosted blog.
    I'm having a problem with the instalation.
    After activating the theme, the "home" link, on top left corner, simply disappears! At first I thought it was from my child-theme configs (I created child-theme to work wiht it), but even activating the "parent" theme resolves in the same error.
    Plus, when activating the theme (parent or child) it shows a couple of php errors I can't quite understand.

    Here's a quick link for you: http://imgbox.com/uSaQbQEC
    The only changes to code I've made (apart from the colors), are the ones suggested here: http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/responsive-wordpress-magazine-themes-that-really-work-on-tablets/

    BTW, my blogs with the theme are these:
    http://www.gilbertopereira.com (in portuguese)
    http://en.gilbertopereira.com (in english)

    The code on that page is poorly formatted, it should be:

    .screen-reader-text {
    	position: absolute;
    	left: -1000em;
    }
    @media (max-width: 1023px) {
    	.navigation-main {
    		-webkit-box-sizing: border-box;
    		-moz-box-sizing: border-box;
    		box-sizing: border-box;
    		left: 0;
    		padding: 1.75em 3.5em;
    		position: fixed;
    		top: 0;
    		width: 100%;
    	}
    }
  3. After activating the theme, the "home" link, on top left corner, simply disappears!

    I see the Home link on both the English and Portuguese sites. Could you upload a screenshot of what you're seeing to help in troubleshooting? Also let us know on what device/OS/browser and version the problem appears.

    Here's a guide on how to make a screenshot, if you're not sure: http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

    You can upload the screenshot - in a graphic format like JPG, PNG, or PDF - in your Media Library, and provide a link so I can see it, or upload it with a service like Droplr or Imgur.

    Plus, when activating the theme (parent or child) it shows a couple of php errors I can't quite understand.

    I activated Bushwick on a test site with debugging set to TRUE in wp-config, running WordPress 3.9. I didn't see any errors on my end after opening the Customizer.

    Could you please let me know what steps you took just before seeing those PHP errors? Thanks.

    Hi Steven.
    Thanks for the heads up about the code. Other than changing colors and fonts, I'm "on foreign land" with CSS
    I've tried your suggestion but it didn't solve the problem.
    In fact, you can't "close" first { the way you suggest it messes with the main menu.

    The CSS is a copy-paste from the original apart from changing color, as I mentioned, and those 2 changes:

    the screen-reader-text code and changing the position to fixed, I didn't change anything else!

    Hi Kathryn.
    Here's the screenshot: http://imgur.com/FityGxT
    This one is from Chrome, I've checked with IE, Opera and Safari, and the "home" doesn't show on either of them. I'm on Windows 7 at work and Windows and Vista at home.

    As for the php error I make the "standard procedure":
    Appearance -> themes -> activate
    if I press "preview" it shows the same errors.

    I downloaded the theme last week, from wordpress.org. Is there a more up to date version?
    At first I thought it was from creating the child theme, but I've re-installed the original theme and activated it and it still shows the same error and still the "home" doesn't show!

  6. Isn't "Início" the Home link?

    I'm seeing it in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome on Mac.

    Could you clarify whether Início is missing, and in what browsers/platforms?

  7. Could you please look at the demo and tell me if you see the Home link there, and if it's missing, in what browser/platform?

    Hi Kathryn.
    That "inicio" you mention is the one I added manually.
    I'm talking about the "HOME" that shows on the demo, on the top left corner, over the picture.
    Shouldn't it be there?

    That link is not present on the header in the WordPress.org demo:

    Perhaps you're looking at the WordPress.com demo, where the theme is a slightly different version?

    OMG, Kathryn! I'm so sorry... I think you're right!
    I must've saved the wrong links on my archive.

    I'm so sorry for wasting your time!

    But now that we've cleared this mixup of mine (sorry once again). Is there any way to add that feature on the self hosted version of the theme? Maybe in the next update? :)

  11. Using Bushwick version 1.1.2 on my self-hosted test site, I do see a Home link on top of the header image, but it looks like you're using version 1.0.0. Could you try updating the theme on your site? You may also need to make some adjustments in your child theme, accordingly.

  12. I think I've figured it out the confusion The Home link only appears over the header image when using the default menu.

    If you add a custom menu, it removes the default Home link from the left, and you need to add it manually. Hope that clears things up.
