I’m getting the same error.
I’ve:
– updated the plugin from version 0.4.1 to 0.5.0;
– tried different browser with incognito mode (no cache);
– deactivated and activated again the plugin.
And nothing worked.

EDIT:
I went to the heatmap’s website (https://heatmap.me/docs/tech/installation) and used the bookmarklet and it appeared again!
@lfreitas We replied to your support ticket last night. Let’s follow up there, and I’ll come back here to post back on the solution we can find here
In the meantime, I can only recommend anyone facing this issue to check their adblocker(s) settings. Some of them block tracking scripts, which of course heatmap is, even though we anonymize all data.
