Hi @merlin1764
Can you link to a page with a gallery? I went to your site but I could not find a gallery in the source.
Looking at your page, there are a few javascript errors which could be the cause.
WP 5.5 included a major update to jQuery which a lot of plugins use, so one of those plugins could be causing a jquery error which will then in turn cause FooGallery to not load. More info : https://wptavern.com/major-jquery-changes-on-the-way-for-wordpress-5-5-and-beyond
Things you can try immediately : goto FooGallery Settings -> Advanced Tab and enable ”
Custom Ready Event” which gets around jquery ready errors caused by other plugins.
Okay, thanks … I’ll check and try it …
in this post should be a gallery after the last sentence.
Enabling ”Custom Ready Event” made the galleries work again 🙂

same here the gallery’s are not working anymore after upgrade to 5.5
http://www.braccom.nl, i use the dutch version from WordPress where can I find these options in the dutch version
@bracomfotografie it should be the same for the Dutch version, under the FooGallery main menu, then Settings, and under the advanced tab you will find the “Custom Ready Event” setting
I see now the FooGallery is a plugin I use the original gallery from WordPress no plugin gallery, I guess have a big problem now
I have lenbanks.com. None of the galleries on my watercolor tab are working. I changed the advanced settings, but still no galleries are showing.
Sorry the direct location is on the ‘painting’ tab/page. Each gallery link is below.
Hi Lenbanks, had the same problem. My galleries disappeared. My solution was to go into my list of plugins. Starting at top of the list I would deactivate one plugin. Refresh the webpage and see if the gallery came back. If not I reactivated that plugin again. Then went to next plugin and repeated the process. I found that the SG optimizer plugin that my host Site Ground uses was the problem. When I deactivated it all my galleries came back. Phew!!!! 🙂 Hope this helps. It’s a shock to lose your galleries. I found that using the solution above ie. Checking the “Custom Ready Event” box only worked with the Chrome browser. In my case, by deactivating the clashing plugin the box does not need to be checked. Hope this helps.
@frany thanks! This is so interesting. I have one site where changing the advanced settings worked. But for this one it didn’t. Deactivating SG Optimizer worked here. Much appreciation!
