No FTP User to restore with

Hi

Just trying out WP Clone and backups from live or local both work. However I cannot restore file as when I try (even a backup from localhost to localhost) WP prompts me for FTP credentials: hostname, FTP Username and FTP password.
I do not know what these are though…
How can I get past this screen to restore the file – everything is local anyway so surely I should be able to do it another way?

Can I find out which ftp user is being used/needed (I am on a Mac using MAMP by the way) and then reset the pw (or add a valid user or change groups/ownership) or something using Terminal?
(I am not sure if it should perhaps be something like www/ _www / mysql and have tried all combinations I could think of but none work – should the user be an Apache/PHP or MySql User?)

Without the ability to restore – WP-Clone is of no use to me unfortunately
