How do I make my links in posts no follow and is that the best choice?

Use the nofollow option in the tag as per the below example:

Try something like:
<a title="your whatever domain" href="http://yourwhateverdomain.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://yourwhateverdomain.com</a>

Modify the code to suit your needs.
