Did you check the the excerpt checkbox is marked in the plugin settings?

Thanks for responding. The checkbox “Use term excerpt for hover?” is marked.
CM Tooltip Glossary worked fine until a few weeks ago. Now only excerpts from older terms are displayed. Tooltips for new terms remain empty.

Can you please deactivate other plugins to see if there is a conflict

All plugins deaktivated, same problem.
Theme: Avada 6.1.2
WP: 5.3.1
PHP: 7.3.11
