• Hi there, just recently had a few weeks off for holidays, site running well when I left, then I come back to a fatal error message instead of my home page. I called my server provider who helped as far as they could, we even removed all plugins, and BTW I am using cutomizr child theme.
AFter removing all the plugins, and reactivating my theme from the twenty fourteen, which my server provider defaulted it to, things seemed to run.
As I reinstalled all updated plugins, everything fine, I logged out to test the site as I have memberships and wanted to be sure the secure pages where hidden, then I got the memory messages again, and I couldn7t log in again.

I called my server provider who said that this is a wp issue as they have tried to fix my site but it is not a database problem or site issue. I deleted all plugins again through dreamweaver, which got the site up and running again. So I thought it is a theme conflicting with the plugins, as the theme was itself mentioned in several error messages, bought a premium theme which supports the site I want it to, but now, WP would not let me upload the new theme to it. I manually did so through dreamweaver, and site was working then bam once again after the themes default plugins were being activated the message came up again. I can no longer use the theme I had purchased. I default back to the customizr theme to get into dashboard but now I get this message.:
You have the latest version of WordPress.
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 70254592) (tried to allocate 1209840 bytes) in /***/****/public_html/bee-pop.com/wp-admin/update-core.php on line 151

I have 512 mb assigned to my site by the server company I am using as they thought perhaps it could help, but didn’t.

Should I do a complete reinstall, as nothing seems to be working.

Suggestions or help will be appreciated. this has a fulltime witch hunt since monday and now I am at my wits end…

    Respectfully

    Wayne

For your information, my site was set to automatic upgrades so while I was on holidays the wordpress installation did an automatic install. Only after that did I get these issues lasting me this whole week.

Love wordpress, but I just don’t know what to do or where to go anymore with this.

It would appear, by your troubleshooting, this it is an issue with one or more of your plugins and/or theme not being compatible with the latest, updated version of WP.

AFter removing all the plugins, and reactivating my theme from the twenty fourteen, which my server provider defaulted it to, things seemed to run.

The place to check would be on the themes and plugins support sites to see if other are having similar problems and more importantly, that they state that their latest offering is compatible with WP 3.9.2.

Thank you for your reply. Yeah, I thought that was the case, but every plugin I updated. So I am not sure if this is that issue or wordpress itself.

When I deactivated the plugins I got

    bcmath
    BCMath support enabled

    Directive Local Value Master Value
    bcmath.scale 0 0

    bz2
    BZip2 Support Enabled
    Stream Wrapper support compress.bzip2://
    Stream Filter support bzip2.decompress, bzip2.compress
    BZip2 Version 1.0.5, 10-Dec-2007

    calendar
    Calendar support enabled

    cgi-fcgi

Which seems to me something serious is broken not just plugins I have a screen shot of it. It looks like the phpadmin back end coming through which is not normal. and dare I say, not associated with plugins directly.

The wordpress admin dash board only displays error messages as well, and on every refressh it is something different.

Is the wp 3.9.2 such a major change that it will break every theme and or plugin, including woocommerce, bbpress, buddypress, etc? I haven’t read nor heard of it before.

AS my site is pretty well a useless dying sod at the moment, I am forced to have to do a fresh install and start again.

Thanks for your help, but I am sincerely concerned that something is wrong with the latest update.

P.s. after the fresh install, I will post back if further issues arise. I have done a database back up and hope I don’t loose too much work that went into the site already.

Once again I appreciate your help. Talk later. and Thank you.

Before doing that, I would check with your hosting provider as per their server configuration.

I have had 18 sites on three different hosts auto update without any issues.

Mind you, none are using woo, buddy or bb.

    >> Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 70254592)

But this is only showing you have attempted to use 70MB, not 512MB. Are you sure this can’t be raised further through a custom php.ini, or wp-config memory increase to fix it before giving up?

Yesterday the said they bumped it up to the max their service allows which was 512mb. About the sites, I am running 3 with the same provider and no issues on them, just they stayed at 3.9. I understand my situation is unique but like I said, I have been going through trouble shooting threads, and direct talks with my server provider and the theme devs.

This is from the php.ini file

    request data
    memory_limit = 512M

So I assume it is alright…
