Ajax seems to be working fine on the site, but there’s no option in the Misc settings. Is this turned on by default now?

That setting was removed in version 2.7: https://github.com/easydigitaldownloads/easy-digital-downloads/issues/4758

It’s always been turned on by default.

OK thanks, the Add to Cart Popup extension is asking for it to be turned on.

Your ajax settings should already be enabled so that’s probably just outdated documentation in that plugin now.
