No Emails for Completed Orders

    Hi,

    Your plugin seems to be working great but it doesn’t trigger Completed Order so client doesn’t get a purchase email (New order email is received by admin without a glitch) even though order has a ‘Completed’ status. Is it a bug or missing feature?

    Hi @baldzius

    First of all, thank you and I am sorry for the inconvenience. Since the admin is receiving the New Order emails, it means your SMTP setup is working correctly. Now I just need you to clarify one thing.

    Please deactivate the Autocomplete Order Status for WooCommerce plugin temporarily. After disabling it, take any existing order that is currently in Processing status and manually change it to Completed. Then check if the customer receives the Completed Order email. If the email still does not arrive, please go to your WooCommerce Email Settings and make sure the “Completed Order” email notification for customers is enabled.

    Normally, the purpose of the Autocomplete Order Status for WooCommerce plugin is to automatically mark an order as Completed instead of leaving it in Processing, which normally needs to be done manually. So if the Completed email notification is enabled, this should resolve your issue.

    If everything above is correct and you still face the problem, please let me know. I will look into it further.

    Thank you for your quick reply. Everything is definitely working on my side because I get the email generated for logged in user. The website we are running your plugin is purely for product sells.

    Could you please check if on your side you get a purchase email if you buy it as anonymous user (not logged in)

    Otherwise your plugin works just fine. I think I used your plugin on some other website in the past and it was working fine just not 100% sure.

    P.S. would you be interested in paid work for extending your plugin functionality?

    Thanks again for checking and for the detailed feedback. At the moment the plugin is designed to send the purchase email only for logged-in customers. For guest or anonymous checkouts it does not currently trigger that extra email, so what you are seeing is expected and not a misconfiguration on your side.

    I agree it would be useful to support anonymous purchases as well, and I will look into whether I can add this in a future update. I can not promise anything specific yet, but it is on my list.

    Regarding your P.S.: thank you very much for the offer, I really appreciate it. Right now I am focusing on improving this as an open-source plugin and I am not taking on paid custom work. Thanks again for using the plugin and for your suggestions.
