I have learned through numerous upgrades that my server requires that i enter a return address into the wp-includes/class-phpmailer.php at line 88, where it says:
Sets the Sender email (Return-Path) of the message. If not empty, * will be sent via -f to sendmail or as 'MAIL FROM' in smtp mode. * @var string */ var $Sender = ' ';
however, this time, it isn’t working. i’ve entered our email address in the proper space, but the registration email is not working (although it doesn’t show an error message, just no email). however, using the Password Reminder function does generate an error:
The e-mail could not be sent. Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function...
However, i do know that sendmail works, because i have another script on our site that is working just fine sending emails.
