i am having the same problem. no download email/link was sent. Although i am just in the testing phase using paypal sandbox.
my sandbox received a Receipt for payment email, but no download link.
help is greatly appreciated.

In my case the plugin was conflicting with that plugin:
http://sw-guide.de/wordpress/plugins/maintenance-mode/
When maintenance mode is on, you can’t really test Simple E-Commerce.
Disabling maintenance solve the problem.

I have had the same problem. I’ve checked my spam/junk mail box too. I’ve tried this plugin on two completely separate website and both times I had the problem with not receiving the emails. Neither the customer receives a confirmation email, nor do I receive an email notification that the customer has made the purchase.
I am now having the same issue. I ran a test with one item two days ago & now with a test being done with one item in cart or all, no email is been sent to me or the customer. I am not running the test in test mode.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I am having exactly the same issue now in that after a client pays via Paypal, the email providing the download link is not arriving for the client. It was working in the testing stage, and it worked on my first client, but now it isn’t, and I don’t know why or how to fix it, and I have to spend more money on a large file service and send thye file manually-which doesn’t help if the order comes in at 3am and customers are freaking out.
Niaz, what is going on? I gave you a glowing report after getting set up.
I have sent you several emails, support tickets and even called you-but still no response-This is past the critical stage and I would appreciate your urgent response-Jason
for the rmail to have the digital product download link make sure you have this in your email sertings section

That’s right- Thanks again NIAZ- it was my fault, I accidentally deleted that when I was writing a new auto email reply.
Hi … I’m trying to use your plugin to sell an ebook. I have installed and configured the plugin. I add the ebook as digital product, and I have filled in the email settings in the settings box. But unfortunately nor in the sales page where the product is, nor in the checkout page appears any customer email box where the customer may fill in his email to send the product.
I’m using the paypal sandbox environment, and if I’m not confussing, that has nothing to do with the customers email box.
It’s possible that I’m doing something wrong?

Thanks for your email. Customer email is the email that is linked with customers email.
If you want manual payment where customer can mention his email than you have to upgarde to premium.
BTW: For ebook selling there are lot more very usefull features avaiable in premium, you will need them for sure.
