Did the set up of the Event manager plugin for restaurant reservations.
Did put all the emails for admins with info but I don’t receive email notification to an administrator when a new booking is requested.

I did test for email and it works, but not actual reservations.

    hi,

can I know what is your mail sending method under Events > Settings > Emails > Email Settings ? also, could it be the email is going to your email spam folder?

Did you try changing the administrator email to the same email you have tested with?

A common issue is that your server/site, example.com may be set up with an internal email server and route someone@example.com to its local inbox. If that’s the case, you need to disable email accounts/inboxes on your host/server (ask your hosts if that’s the case and you don’t know how to do it).

    Hey there,

Actually I am having the exact same problem – I only realized I’ve never got the email notifications working for this plugin…

I have been on with my host provider for over an hour, reviewing the SMTP email settings within the email part.

No matter what, they just don’t work at all.

Every other plugin works where I get a notifications from when users complete an action.

I use a SMTP server, and done the best of my ability to enter the correct details in. Also, no error logs record anything about this. almost like it’s not the email (my side at all).

Also: what mailbox actually sends the email over to me?

Any suggestions why this plugin doesn’t work for email notifications?

I’d suggest you both look at the email docs, and try the WP Mail SMTP plugin along with Mailgun to try and get it working first with the test email of the mail plugin, set EM emails to use WP Mail and then test EM emails.

It’s quite easy to sign up for a free mailgun account (limited to sending emails to 5 destinations), and it’s pretty reliable. That way, you can tell if the issue is with your mail server setup or if it’s an EM problem.

    Guys!

    Got it working!

it was the Event Submission Templates.

Admin email – Event submission notifications will be sent to emails added here. If left blank, no emails will be sent. Separate emails with commas for more than one email.

for some damn reason, it was left blank. Check ALL these fields are correct to get it working.

Great, thanks for the update. I’ll mark this as resolved.

My fields are not blank. Test email goes through. But every time I make reservation with website – it does not work.
