No editor bottun under the appearance tab

    I recently started using WordPress and after using a standard theme I discovered I couldn’t change all the thing I wanted to change.
    While making a child theme I noticed that the Editor button under the appearance tab isn’t shown.
    How do I get this editor button back? It seems I need the button when I want to customize a child theme
