No editing capability

    That’s strange. Under your “Profile”, what “Role” are you assigned? If it says something like “Subscriber”, you have no editing capability, though.

    There’s no role assignment anywhere on the profile page. This is also the only username that’s ever been associated with the site.

    Umm, that’s odd. Sorry, I can’t help further. “Role” was the only thing that I thought could be a reason…

    What role you had before you lost editing capability?

    WP core automatically DOES NOT delete your role capability! That’s not the default behavior of the WP.

    The role before was administrator. There was no other user in the system except this one.

    The profile page shows absolutely no information at all whatsoever for any type of role. It does not say “subscriber” it does not say “administrator” it does not say anything. There is no line for any kind of role. It’s not an unassigned role, it’s not role: black, there just is no role of any kind at all anywhere in the system on any page at all whatsoever.

    @mikeleins2 Check your site for any malware.

    The Exploit Scanner plugin can help detect damage so that it can be cleaned up.
