• I am using a add on domain for my wordpress. and what happened was I got a new domain, and transfered it.

Now, I have to login, and go to EDIT and search for a post that I want to edit, because the “Edit This” button will no longer appear on a post I made. Although it will appear for authors who’s permissions are lower.

Any ideas as to what this could be, or how I can correct it?

  • http://wordpress.org/docs/installation/different-address/ says that if you’ve changed wordpress from its original installation address, “the “Edit this” links will no longer appear by every entry and comment if you’re using this option. This is a limitation of how we’re setting cookies, and this may be fixed in the future.” Unfortunately, I believe you’d either have to have a fresh install, or hope this is fixed in an upcoming upgrade.

So, if I uninstalled WP, and reinstalled it… would all my entries still be there? or does WP wipe the database clean?
