I have all users able to edit the posts in settings. I have the most up-to-date free version. I’ve enabled both the override edit button and also disabled it. There is no edit link anywhere frontend on my posts or my custom-post-type posts. The edit link does appear in the dashboard just not on the post. Happens in Chrome and Safari Browsers and probably others but I’ve not checked it in all of them. Any ideas?

  • Hello @brittneyzellner
→ You should edit the post finely frontend if you have the [wpuf_edit] page created and assigned on the settings (https://ibb.co/3vfXvTv).

The edit link does appear in the dashboard, just not on the post.

→ Would you please share a screenshot (you can use snapboard.io) to which you are referring so that I can determine the fact and help you further?

    Thanks.

This link expires in a week.
This is the what the webpage looks like and these are up close

My settings are the same as in your screenshot and again my “edit” page looks normal and has an “edit” link.
There are a lot of posts. It doesn’t make sense to edit each post by having to continually go back to find it. I have also seen in these support pages where there should be an edit link on the post itself as long as the user has access to edit the post. This is a custom-post-type. I don’t know if that matters or not.

    Hello again,

If this is happening for your older posts which created previously before the WPUF installed, you need to set your associate post form from the backend area (watch this). So if you have the associate WPUF post form (doc reference) selected for the particular post, it should let the users edit it from the frontend.

I hope you got the point.

Let me know if you may need further assistance or information.
    Thanks.

I have already made sure the correct form is selected for the posts although I don’t see anything for selecting forms for bulk posts. Maybe that’s a pro feature. It’s not an option for the free. Here are the screen shots.

There is still no edit link on the post anywhere. Is there anything else at all I could be missing?

I’ve decided to go with another front-end post plugin. Sadly, this had just what I needed and as my website continued I would have likely purchased the premium but because nothing you suggested would work and then you made no further attempts to help me I have found another plugin that will hopefully work. Thanks for trying! The other plugin is ACF Frontend if anyone runs into the same problem I have and can’t find a solution and they don’t help you here. It requires a little more work on my end but it’s better than nothing. Thanks again for trying!
