Support » Plugin: Really Simple SSL » No documentation, no explanation, nothing…

  • Can’t understand how people are telling it is simple and easy… When you don’t know how to convert your website from http to https well… you don’t know.
I was hoping the extension to have an home page saying : ask for a SSL certificate here or there or there, then put it here, then click on this, then it will do that, and TADAM, etc…
But instead, the only thing you can see is :
    error No detected SSL.
warning HTTP Strict Transport Security is not active. To activate it, get the Premium Version…..
    Buy Really Simple SSL Premium

    No sense, no help…

This is easily explained: The other users have read the description of the plugin. If you had done so, you would know this plugin is not an installation tool for an SSL certificate. It helps you switch your WordPress site to https. A valid SSL certificate is a requirement for this plugin to work.

If you have an SSL certificate installed, the next step will be as simple as all users have experienced: you just click activate SSL. It will also work without the premium plugin, but this offers more features of course.

Installation of an SSL certificate can mostly be handled by your hosting provider.
