No difference between abandoned cart and pending payment

Hi everyone,
We need some help.
The plug-in does not does not distinguish between an abandoned cart and pending payment with an order ID number.
If someone makes an order but doesn’t confirm the payment a new order ID is created but the plugin triggers the email sequence from a abandoned cart and pending payment.
Or if and order is cancelled continues sending abandoned cart emails.
We need to send different emails to an pending order, maybe it’s something we have misconfigured.
