# No Database Connection Localhost (Mac / Xampp)

 * Hey,
 * I have been using wordpress for some weeks now on a windows computer. I recently
   bought a macbook pro so, as you might expect, i need to import my site to my 
   mac.
    (it is not a problem to start over since i was not that far in creating
   the website)
 * The only thing is that whenever i try to acces localhost/wordpress it gives me
   this error message: ” Error Establishing a database connection”
 * I have messed around a lot with files and settings to make it work, which it 
   did one time but then it gave me another error, so now i have deleted the edited
   wordpress file in /htdocs and hoping that anyone here could help me.
