After 5.0 update, I get only blank page where a PDF is embedded.
Removing the PDFEmbedder-premium-secure-5.0.0 in the wp-content/plugins and re-uploading the old version, it again works.
This for all the pdf that I have embedded in my pages. Urgent to solve!

I contacted also the company, let’s wait, and for now use a backup version of the plugin folder

Many thanks – I will leave the page with the problems on for the developer to see the issue. Lets hope this is solved is soon !

The technical problem is that the iframe searches for a HTTP:// version of the document on the HTTPS:// page (even if the link is correct), and the browser blocks the request.

Checked in the chrome developer tools…

Disable automatic updates of the plugin after the backup restore

After updating the pro version, I also get to see a meshed up page. Initially, after updating I got the following message: The plugin PDFEmbedder-premium/mobile_pdf_embedder.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist. I deactivated, deleted and then reinstalled the plugin but the problem persists.
How can I roll back to the previous version, while their support team investigates this issue? Can anyone share the previous Pro version please?

    Thanks,
    K

They have just released Ver 5.01 but that has not solved the issue for me

    Hi everyone,

Sorry about the issues with latest update. The developers are investigating the issue. If you have a back up copy, you can rollback to that version. If you don’t have a backup copy, please go ahead and update your plugin to version 5.0.1.

The 5.0.1 version is the exact same copy as the previously working Premium 4.4.3 / Secure 4.4.5. We reuploaded the older, working version and only updated the version number to make it easier to do the update, but the code is identical to what you were previously using prior to the 5.0.0 update.

Important: once you update the plugin, please flush any caches on your site and the browser, then reload the page where you have the embedded PDF.

If you are a Premium or Secure user and are still encountering an issue after updating to 5.0.1 AND flushing your site and browser caches, please let us know by sending us an email to contact@wp-pdf.com.

    Hi everyone,

Please update to 5.0.2. That update will resolve the issues you are seeing with the 5.0.0 update. Once updated, please flush any caches on the site and browser. Apologies for any inconvenience this caused.

Thanks for the very fast solution!

Is now the search function disabled?

    Where is the update?

I have this on a WordPress multisite. It looks like 5.0 deactivated all my premium versions.

    Worked, thanks.

    Hello, where’s the 5.02 update?

I’m not getting anything in ManageWP & the download button here is saying 4.62 or something.

    I have the pro version.

@medialps — yes, the search is disabled for the moment while the devs determine why the 5.0.0 update didn’t work. Once that issue has been resolved, we will be publishing an update with the search functionality.

@rscott7706 — You should be seeing an update prompt in the Plugins screen or your Updates screen. Failing that, you can login to your account on WP-PDF.com to download the 5.0.2 ZIP file.

@ep2012 — the free version is still on 4.6.4. The paid versions (Premium and Secure) are the ones on 5.0.2. If you have a valid license for either of those, you should be seeing an update prompt in the Plugins screen or your Updates screen. Failing that, you can login to your account on WP-PDF.com to download the 5.0.2 ZIP file.

@pdfg Support – ok, but after I did the update through ManageWP, it was once again deactivated, so something is still wrong.

It’s working now, but I’m concerned it will happen again when there’s a new update.

    Thanks
