[Resolved] no checkbox object in 'registered' list for bulk actions

  • @verm,

    It’s not there by design as there are no rational bulk actions that can be applied to Registered Subscribers through a simple checkbox interface.

    I believe that I can offer a legitimate reason for the feature . . . I’ve been getting spammed with new user accounts from a proxy in China that is automatically creating ‘registered subscribers’ . . . so deleting them ‘en masse’ is the desire here. Any suggestions?

    @verm,

    Since these are Registered Accounts they can be bulk deleted within WordPress already at Users->All Users. You might also want to consider using a plugin that combats Registration spam sign ups, maybe this one:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/

    Or maybe even deactivate the ability for anyone to Register in Settings -> General where it says “Membership”.

    I kinda thought that’s what you’d say (central user management). I’ll give the recommended plugin a shot – thanks!

    @verm,

    I might look at adding Bulk delete in a future version to save you a few clicks.
