# No changes being saved using Divi theme

 * I am creating a website using Divi . Everything was going fine until one day 
   I was not able to save changes via the WP admin section. Neither changes via 
   the Divi editor or directly through the WP editor. I have done the following
 * Turned off all plug ins
    replaced wp-admin and wp-includes directories created
   a Divi child and updated Divi repaired PHP database
 * all to no avail. I just cannot get WP to save anything other than menu changes.
   Content and styles wont save at all. I have tried everything I can think of and
   that I have found in forums. The website is [http://businessunusual.com.au](http://businessunusual.com.au)
   and you can see how the front page now hides the portfolio images that should
   be visible there.
 * short of creating a new database and *groan* having to rebuild the entire website,
   does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be going on?

 * thanks Joseph, but I just cant seem to get WP to save anything at all. I have
   contacted my provider to see if it is a PHP database issue and will now also 
   contact the theme provider too…but WP doesnt save when the theme is inactive.

 * Im sorry, Im not describing this properly due to the hours of inconclusive troubleshooting.
 * Ive changed themes, and using twenty fifteen, I am having the same issue. WP 
   will not save any changes. Im starting to think that it might be the PHP database.
 * Is there a way i can export the work I have done on this site, so that I can –
   if need be – start afresh with a new database and new install of WP?
 * Or is there a solution that I am just missing?

 * Alright, to reinstall
    1.  backup site via ftp
    2.  backup database
    3.  delete site via ftp
    4.  delete datadase
    5.  get a new copy of workpress from here: [https://wordpress.org/download/](https://wordpress.org/download/)
    6.  upload via ftp
    7.  create new database
    8.  upload backed up database to new database
    9.  Edit config.php to point to your new database
 * all should work

 * ok thats great, I will do this tomorrow with a fresh head (its 3am here). Really
   appreciate your help, thanks heaps 😊
