• hello. I have async javascript and autoptimize, went through the wizard where the simulations showed the expected pagespeed and yslow scores. I applied the recommended wizard settings, applied the additional autoptimize settings and async javascript settings as instructed. Cleared all caches and tested directly with gtmetrix. Zero change – the scores I had before the wizard are the scores i have after. Is that normal?

    Thank you,
    Jim

If you already have AO active, AsyncJS is mainly interesting if you have multiple external JS requests really. If not, then you probably can do without AsyncJS.

I’m not sure that helped. The question had to do with the Asyncjs wizard running multiple scenarios in gtmetrix. The scenarios showed specific metrics based on specific settings. I made the settings as instructed. The results that were expected in gtmetrix were not achieved. In fact, no results whatsoever were achieved.

How can the plugin show the metrics you can achieve, but not actually achieve the metrics when you make the adjustment?

no idea how the wizard test results would differ from actual results I’m afraid Jim, sorry.
