    Hello guys,

I installed and activated the plugin to remove the default /category/ part of URLs, and it works perfectly. URLs stay correctly, mysite.com/my-category, instead of mysite.com/category/my-category.

I had to disable the plugin to do an external test, and realized that even with the plugin disabled, the URLs of my site were still being accessed without the default /category/, ie only mysite.com/my-category as is correct.

So I wanted to know if the plugin removes the default /category/ part of the URLs and then writes the URL rule without /category/ somewhere like in the database, where even deactivating the plugin, the rule without /category/ stays recorded somewhere? Or when you disable the plugin, does the /category/ part re-enter in the URLs?

I am asking this to know if it really needs to have the plugin activated?

    Thanks,
    Rodrigo

  • Just go in Settings -> Permalinks and click save changes without changing anything to flush the rewrite rules and you should be all set.
