This plugin is neat. But it doesnt have categories. To make it really useful it needs to have categories to add products to. Then have a category menu like an actual online store. whats the point of just listing hundreds of products on a page not divided up into categories??

    Hi Kevbo22,

Thank you for using Simple Affiliate Shop.

There is already the facility to create categories and to add products to them. Then you can create a page that will show only that category (and optionally children of the category). There is a ‘helper’ which is the little icon on the toolbar when you are using the page editor that will generate the correct shortcode for you.

Am I correct that you are also looking for a widget of some type that you could put into the sidebar to show all the categories rather than creating a page manually for them?

    Thanks Kevbo22,

Have a look at this article on how to install and configure PG Simple Affiliate Shop, about half way down there is a section called ‘Product Type explained’.

I will add the widget idea to the ‘to do’ list and hope to have it out soon as I do not think it would be difficult.

    Cheers,
