    Hi,

i just installed this great plugin, after testing it, i bought the zip-function. The backup was working fine withou zipping, hundrets of files were added to my dropbox account, everything was ok. Now it won’t work anymore. Here is what the log says:

15:03:25 : Backing up WordPress path at (/var/www/...).
    15:03:24 : Creating zip archive.
15:03:07 : There has been no backup activity for a long time. Attempting to resume the backup.
14:57:10 : Backing up WordPress path at (/var/www/...).
    14:57:10 : Creating zip archive.
    14:56:53 : Backup started on Monday November 26, 2012.

This entries are continuing as long, as i don’t klick on “stop backup”. I searched a bit, and added some lines to my htaccess:

    <Files "wp-cron.php">
    Allow from All
    Satisfy Any
    </Files>

I thought i could help, but the problem continues. I’m using you latest version from today, i re-installed your plugin twice but i’m still hanging at the same point. Can you help me?

    Thank you!

  • Hi

I’m having the same problem, finally got an interesting error message:

A fatal error occured: Submitted input out of alignment: got [4194304] expected [0] (Status Code: 400)

    Gday guys,

The out of alignment issue is to do with chunked uploads. It appears that the plugin is sending the second chunk of data before Dropbox is ready to accept it.

I have added a microsleep of 10 milliseconds to the API to avoid this problem. Please delete and re-install the plugin to get the change.

    Cheers,
    Mikey

    Hi,

thanks, but it’s not working for me. Still got the same problem, after a while the script says there has not been any activity for a while and the script tries to continue without any success.

Do you get the safe mode waning?

I got no warnings. It’s working fine if i diable the zip-function.

Just if you wonder – i deleted some parts of the path to wordpress and set the three points there 🙂 😀

Some Details from my server, maybe it could help you:

    PHP Version	5.2.17
    PHP Safe Mode	Off
    PHP Max Upload Size	20M
    PHP Max Post Size	20M
    PHP Memory Limit	256M

The plugin is failing to write to the zip archive and dying.

Are you getting any errors in your PHP error logs?

Is there any log from wordpress? I don’t have any idea where to find other logs, my hoster got nothing in my members area.

@mickey Thanks a lot for your quick reaction, I am testing the new version.

@pc-exakt Why don’t you install the plugin “Error Log Monitor”? Then it will appear in your admin.

    Installed it, thanks 🙂

    Here is the log:

PHP Fatal error: Class 'ZipArchive' not found in /xxx/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-backup-to-dropbox/Extensions/class-zip-backup.php on line 102

Okay, if there will be no solution it would be nice to get the money back, it’s still not working and i have no idea why, looks like you also have no idea 😉

That is because you do not have PHP compiled with the zip option or the lib installed.

    Please see: http://php.net/manual/en/zip.installation.php

Ok, got PHP 5.3 working now, the zip-function is working fine. But i can’t finde any database-dumps, should they be inside the zip, or are they saved in an other folder?

19:25:47 : A total of 37MB of memory was used to complete this backup.

    Thats good news!

They are inside the zip within ‘wp-content/backups’.

Ah yes, got it 🙂 Thanks 🙂
