Hi, I’m reusing this thread as I have the same problem on my site classes.purplefoodie.com. I too have variable products, use Yoast SEO, and have ‘backorder’ disabled. I added myself to the waitlist for a sold out product, then manually increased the inventory, but received no email (checked spam etc). I tried three times.
When I tried sending an email manually via the “View Waitlist” page, I received the email instantly.
    How do we fix?

    Hi,
    Please verify the following things.
    1) Disable Backorders
    2) Check auto email option from the settings.
    3) When you change the stock status to “In stock” , make sure you have quantity more than 0.
    4) After saving the variations , you also need to click on “Update” button.

If still it doesn’t work , report us here on chat. xootix.com

All 4 were verified – email still isn’t sent. I can see the inventory on my live site increase from 0 to 2 when I increase in my admin.

Worked with author via chat and they supported brilliantly via TeamViewer. Fixed it themselves. Great support, thank you.
