No admin panel after WordPress installation

  • Hi, first of let me start by saying I’m extremely new to WordPress and this is my first time trying to use it. I just got hosting through HostGator and installed WordPress using Fantastico. I got the confirmation email with all of my details, but for some reason the admin panel just won’t show up. When I try to visit the admin URL on Firefox I get “The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.” I haven’t installed any plug-ins or done anything beyond the Fantastico install. I have tried a fresh install but it didn’t work. Help!!

  • Hi!

Check If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Suggest that you uninstall your WordPress using Fantastico and reinstall again. Sometimes, Fantastico do not completely install your WordPress and database.
