    Hi.

I use: Payment Plugins for PayPal WooCommerce and Payment Plugins for Stripe WooCommerce and I have big problems displaying addresses in my customers’ orders. In the order history I often only see the order number, but in the details I don’t see the address. I have to copy it into Order details from PayPal or Sripe. Some orders show the full name, address and email. Some just show the order number. I suspect the ones that don’t show addresses were bought using: fast payment paypal/stripe.
How do I automate this process and transfer the address from paypal/stripe to Woocommerce?

    Hi @luketapis,

As I understand you’re using our official PayPal and Stripe plugins, and you’re missing billing details in some orders, correct? Your theory is that this happens on express checkout orders if I understood correctly?

Can you check the orders with missing payment details and confirm the payment method used, please? Can you confirm you’re running the latest version of WooCommerce, WordPress and PayPal and Stripe?

    Thanks!

    Correct.

“Can you check the orders with missing payment details and confirm the payment method used, please?”

Google Pay and PayPal (but not all)

“Can you confirm you’re running the latest version of WooCommerce, WordPress and PayPal and Stripe?”

    all the latest

    Hi @luketapis

Thanks for the clarification. The issue seems related to the express checkout feature for PayPal and Stripe plugins. The best way to determine this is to place an order using a default payment gateway like Direct bank transfer. If you noticed that the address and the rest of the information are there, then it would be best to reach out to the plugin developer for further assistance.

Please note that we don’t provide help & support for 3rd-party plugins or themes as they’re outside our support scope.

I hope this helps! Please let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance.

Thank you for your reply. I contacted 3rd-party plugins support and I received this message:

“Because the address fields are populated in PayPal, that means at the time of payment, the order object has all of the address data. The PayPal plugin uses the billing address data directly from the order.

That proves that after the payment is processed, the address data is being removed from the WooCommerce order object. There isn’t any code in the PayPal plugin that would remove address data from the order”

    Hi @luketapis

The address data should indeed be passed from PayPal or Stripe to WooCommerce. It’s not common for this data to disappear after the payment process, and WC Core don’t have any functionality that removes this data.

Given these circumstances, it seems like the issue might be related to a conflict with another plugin or a theme. I recommend performing a conflict test. More info: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Alternatively, give a different plugin a shot to figure out if the problem lies within their plugin. For instance, you can test with these two plugins.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Hi @luketapis

I’ll go ahead with looping to this part of your original message here, for a moment:

I use: Payment Plugins for PayPal WooCommerce and Payment Plugins for Stripe WooCommerce and I have big problems displaying addresses in my customers’ orders.

From what I gather, the plugins in use are Payment Plugins for Stripe WooCommerce and Payment Plugins for PayPal WooCommerce, and the issue cannot be reproduced with only the WooCommerce plugin active and a core WooCommerce payment option. Correct?

As such, it is outside the scope of support provided here, I’m afraid.

Unfortunately I haven’t fix the issue. I still manully copy addressess from paypal and stripe.

It appears this is already addressed in this thread opened with the PayPal plugin’s support channel. Best to continue correspondence there, as they’ll be in a better position to assist you further.

I hope this helps! Thank you.
