  • Are you positive the role you are logging in with is “administrator”?
This sounds like you may be logging in with a lesser capability.

Can you see a list if all the users when you log in or just the ability to edit your own profile?

    Hi aracer x,

I like to thank you for your respond. yes, I am sure the user I logged in is an admin.

Hmmm, if you are sure you can do other things like edit the theme, edit all users, edit site options, etc. then I am not sure what else it could be unless there is a role manager plugin or something altering the “normal” capabilities of wordpress?

    What plugins are you using?

I have access to everything the only thing i do not have access to is the pluggins.php

I know your site is live, but normally, I’d suggest switching to the twentyeleven theme and see what happens. This would rule out a theme issue. It only takes a minute to check this.

You can also still deactivate plugins using these methods. This would rule out a plugin issue.

Can you think of anything you did prior to this? Like activate any new plugins, etc.

Do you know what plugins you have installed? Were they all up to date?

Obviously, try logging out completely and then log back in as well.
