Hosting has given me url to the site which allows me to see it – I can’t see or access the dashboard. I believe that I know the username and password when the WordPress log inis displayed but I get “get cookies are blocked or not supported in your browser. You must enable cookies to use wordpress.

I use Safari and cookies are enabled.

Try deleting the cookies for your site and trying again.

    Use chrome and try again.

Deleting the cookies made no difference (Safari). Recently tried Chrome and Firefox which displayed the content of the site very ugly BUT did have a menu bar at the top which allowed access to the dashboard but I didn’t achieve an update to the content. I would have wished for similar behaviour across browsers. I have seen my WordPress site working fine on the Mac with Safari (but not for a few days).

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

Thanks for the ideas and suggestions. I’ve passed them onto the support desk for consideration. I fear that my WordPress Project is going to the wall.

‘m going to mark as resolved for the moment at least.
