NinjaScanner v3.0 Beta 1 is available

We will soon release NinjaScanner 3.0 🙂
In the meantime, we have the first beta version: NinjaScanner 3.0-Beta1

It is also available here on wordpress.org in the /trunk/ folder but, oddly, it seems impossible to download it (attempts to download the development version return an old 2.0.8).

What’s new
The whole scanner engine was rewritten from scratch. The main goal was to make it work even on the cheapest and slowest shared hosting account.
A few changes were made to the “Settings” page as well.

How to test it
First, remember that it’s a beta and it could have some bugs. And that’s the reason why we release it: if you find any bug, please report it here so that we could fix it ASAP.
If you want to keep your current NinjaScanner v2.x configuration:
1. Log in to WordPress, go to “NinjaScanner > Settings > Advanced Users Settings > Nerds Settings” and check “Do not delete options and the cache folder when uninstalling NinjaScanner” and click the “Save Settings” button.
2. Go to the “Plugins” page and uninstall NinjaScanner.
3. Upload the new beta version and activate it. It will use your previous configuration and cached files.
