We have just released a beta version of NinjaFirewall 1.5 that is multi-site compatible.
– NinjaFirewall will protect all sites from your network but its configuration interface will be accessible only to the Super Admin from the main site. All network sites will share the same configuration but they cannot change it or even access it.
– An icon showing NinjaFirewall’s status has been added to the admin bar of all sites (only visible by the administrators of those sites). After the installation, you are advised to log in to all sites in your network and to check whether the icon is visible or not. That will confirm that the firewall is active and that all sites are indeed protected. If you don’t see the icon, obviously, that means there is a problem! You can disable this option from the new “NinjaFirewall > Network” menu.
– The ‘NinjaFirewall > E-mail alerts’ menu has a different option in multi-site mode : you can select whether you want all alerts to be sent only to the Super Admin (you), or to the administrator of the site where originated the alert (default option). The recipient email address that will be used is the one found in the WordPress “Settings” menu (AKA “admin_email”) of the corresponding site.
If you see any issue or bug with this version, or if you have any comment, please leave your message here.
As this is a beta version, we recommend to use it for testing purposes only.
