The most recent Ninja update seems buggy

backend crashed:

Fatal error: Nesting level too deep – recursive dependency? in /www/htdocs/xxx/xxxx/wp-content/plugins/ninjafirewall/lib/utils.php on line 1088

I can’t reproduce it.
Which PHP version are you running?

Maybe an issue with == vs ===. I made a small change to the ‘lib/utils.php’: https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&new=2071981%40ninjafirewall&old=2071920%40ninjafirewall&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=

You can try to download it here, and to coy it over FTP to your wp-content/plugins/ninjafirewall/lib/ folder.

Same issue here. PHP 7.2.16, but also on 7.1. Fatal error. Your change to utils.php did not work.

Guys, if I have to slap some code on a plugin in order to prevent the backend from crashing, something is seriously wrong. Particularly as we are talking about a run of mill WP installation.

Please let us know, when you have found and more importantly fixed the bug.

Thanks for confirming that it is working.
What is odd is that the code that crashed your backend was in the previous release 3.8.4 too, but didn’t crash your site until this new version 3.9.

I will push version 3.9.1 in a few minutes unless someone reports an issue with the patch.
