Support » Plugin: Ninja Forms - The Easy and Powerful Forms Builder » Ninja Forms Lite compatibility issue with Under Construction Plug In

  • Resolved SandiL

First, I want to say that this form was easy to set up. I am using it for a registration form for a church event.

The only problem I ran into was when I filled out a test registration and hit the submit button, I got back a full screen of problems listed. It looked like the “Under Construction” plug-in was fighting with this one. I saved the error notes if you want to see which lines are fighting.

The Under Construction plug-in was not being used at that time and this site was live, so I completely removed it. Once I deleted the Under Construction plug-in, the submit form worked as expected.

For some reason I didn’t get notified of this ticket so my apologies for not responding sooner.

I would need to see the errors. Could be any number of things but none that I can think of off the top of my head as I’m not familiar with that plugin.

We’re past our event that I tried using this plug in for… with another one I need to put together for next October. We don’t make a profit on these, and this was the first time I’ve used WordPress for an event’s website.

Typically we create a registration form in Adobe InDesign, then convert it to an interactive form in Adobe Acrobat. Our registrants fill out the form using Acrobat Reader and then email the forms to me. (example: )

I thought your plug in was easy to use and set up, looked nice on the webpage, and the emails I received from it of our registrants’ information went well. I’m very happy with how it performed to that point. The disappointment, though, was when I selected to export the information gathered to Excel. I’m using a Mac and use Numbers software, but that usually opens Excel documents for me just fine. However, the file exported information was such a big mess that I ended up having to enter everything by hand from the information I received in the emails.

Since I typically have to enter all the information by hand, I was able to complete the task quickly. However, I was looking forward to an on-line registration system that automatically would do that step for me. 🙂

Here’s where I used Ninja Forms Lite:

Do you have a suggestion for how to make this work in Numbers?

In 2.0 which is due out by the end of this month the export of data will be in csv format which will be much more reliable than excel and should work fantastic with Numbers.

Thank you! I’m more than willing to give this another try!
