okay, sorry. i try it with more details:
I got a registration form:
input field username, input field forename, input field surname, input field mail.
if i fill it with e.g. username = mysuperusername, forename = james, surname = bond, mail = mail@test.de. after submitting the user is generated, but the username in wordpress admin panel and ultimate member dashboard is now “jamesbond” instead of my choosen username “mysuperusername”.
i cannot figure out why this happens. on a blank install of wordpress and ultimate member this effect is not there. now my suggestion is that there is any config option to generate usernames like ‘forenamesurname’.
hopefully now it is a bit clearer. english is not my native language :-/

Are you sure that the username field has a meta/field key user_login
?
