  • I started testing this plugin using the free version of it.

I ran into some troubles when I began using it. Their support was helpful on using the free version of this plugin. The 3.9 core upgrade caused an image uploader hiccup. But I found a way around it. But, I had another issue going on and they immediately identified it being Edit Flow. As soon as they told me that, I went and looked at Edit Flow and he was already working on a bug fix for that. All I had to do was sit back and wait.

I really enjoy the customization that’s available in the free version. And, as I had told them I would, I upgraded to PRO. It’s very worth the added functionality for the $99 USD cost. Plus, I have thousands of names to upload. Good support, good plugin means they got my conversion to being a full customer.

Even better: I learned the WYSIJA/ Mail Poet shortcode and/or html can be used in combination with WPMU’s plugins. That was an added bonus that I didn’t read about in their tutorials! Now, my slider (which is better than a popover) is lite loaded and visitors can subscribe to any of my lists from it.

The feature I think I like most are the automatic newsletters, and automatic emails which can be sent. I don’t even have to do anything. The software handles it for us.

These devs are on the ball. They get it. If you find the free version works great when you test drive it, I’d strongly recommend the PRO version. If you run into an issue, let their support know.

I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it’s close to perfect. 🙂

  • Thanks for the critical review Leslie 🙂

I personally think we’re still far from perfect, but we’re aiming there. Stick with us a bit longer, you won’t be disappointed.

Not disappointed yet, Ben 🙂 Plugin devs that offer good customer service on free versions will get my conversion to a paid product, or at the very least good word-of-mouth (which is priceless.) I interact with a lot of people in marketing/ site dev and am always happy to tell them who to go with and who to stay away from. Have a great day. 🙂
