  • My site was hacked with a malware redirect since updating to the latest version of this plugin 🙁

@velocity2017; You need to scan your website to find possible injected code. Updating to the latest version will prevent this from happening again, however, if the injected code is still there, you might still get hacked. Remove the injected code in order to stop this. I’d suggest contacting your server administrator (hosting) to go through it.

Hi, I can also confirm that my site was hacked as a direct result of updating to the latest plugin. My hack occured on Friday 16th November and I had my hosting provider reset my website using one of the backups, remove affected files and advised me to remove your plugin.

Have you resolved the issue of sites being hacked using your plugin?

@ashmoreskandybox2017 We resolved the issue in version 1.4.3 but if you got hacked (or think you were) you need to take additional measures. Please check your database and your users (admin accounts) for suspicious activity. Ideally you rely on a backup from November 6th or 7th but thats not possible for every site of course. In that case you should check out scan software/plugins/tools to help you find the malicious content.

We apologise for the inconvenience but you can rely on 1.4.3 !
