Nice looking default player – but it only plays the AUDIO of my mp4 !

    I’ve got a perfectly functioning .mp4 which I have placed in the uploads folder in WordPress in localhost (too big to import the normal way!) and have put the URL into the Easy Video Player short code.

    The player shows up… love it, like the look, would like to keep it… But…

    It’s playing only the AUDIO from the video, there’s no picture.

    Also, the HEIGHT of the video player is quite short, not at all proportional to my mp4, the original being 640 x 480. I’d like to show it at around 400 x 300.

    Tried putting both width= and height= into the shortcode, no change.

    This is what the short code looks like with my vid url in it:

    Hi, Can I take a look at the actual page? It will help me troubleshoot this issue. Usually when you hear just the audio it means the video is not properly encoded. Try encoding it to H264 MP4 and see how it goes. There are some good encoders available for free(e.g. handbrake).

    Hi, thanks for responding.

    The site is in localhost, I’m using xampp to build it in WordPress.
    Also began having Adobe flash trouble with the Flowplayer… error on the face of the “video” stating I had to click to activate, but clicking does nothing.

    I’ve been installing and uninstalling all the plugins I can find. Switched between .swf and .mp4, and the original .wmv, no luck so far.

    I’ll check out Handbrake, thank you!

    If you had a live page it would be easier for me to troubleshoot. Feel free to keep me posted though.
