Support » Plugin: WP GDPR Compliance » Supports comments, forms, and user data requests

  • Although this is the most popular GDPR plugin for WordPress it’s not a complete GDPR compliance solution at the moment. For example, there is no cookie management so far.

What I don’t like: When a visitor comments on a post and does not check the GDPR consent checkbox, the error message is displayed on a separate page (not inline, not in a lightwindow). When he returns to the form it’s empty, so he loses everything he has entered so far.

    Hi Martin,

We dislike the way WordPress shows the error as well but we don’t want to change the way WordPress Core works with this plugin. So in short: WordPress Core shows the error message this way with or without our plugin.

Please check out the roadmap for future updates:

@martinsauter; Check out our latest release which adds the ability for your website visitors to request their user data and to anonymise this data.

Let me know if you need any assistance.

Thanks – this is an important upgrade.

Do you plan to implement a cookie management system as well?

    Yes, we will, actually!
