Nice but comes with performance hit

    This plugin is, as advertised, the most customizable tag cloud widget out there.

    The only drawback is that it comes with a big script which, on my site, causes a performance hit that is disproportionate for a plugin of this size. If you’re concerned about this and know a little PHP, you can get most of the same functionality from the tag-cloud widget that comes with WordPress.

    See this helpful post and the WP codex for ideas. It’s even possible to embed the PHP for the tag-cloud widget in a text widget to customize your tag cloud for particular pages.
