Support » Plugin: EWWW Image Optimizer » Nginx Webp Not Working – Make Extension .webp for CDN?

I can’t for the life of me get Webp to work with Nginx setup. I’ve done a bunch of config changes and got the green “webp” image to appear in the settings, but then all the images were broken on the site when visiting with Chrome.

Plus, I’m not sure it would have worked anyway since left the extension the same, causing CDN to deliver whatever format (jpeg or webp) of whatever file is requested first.

Is it possible to have webp extension on file name for CDN, and somehow get it to work with Nginx?

I deliver webp images on same domain (without wordpress), but do it all with php rewrites.

    Cheers!
    Ryan
