Nginx and WordPress Permissions

  • I’ve installed nginx with php-fpm and configure it with no problems in a VPS.

    I uploaded the wordpress content to /usr/share/nginx/html but it seems like I’m having issues with the file permissions. If I want to install a plugin it just ask for an ftp account, the files have the right permissions according to wordpress, but it seems not to work here probably because of the user:group permissions? I don’t really know.

    In my nginx.conf I have:
    user nginx;

    But I don’t know if I should chown nginx:group or nginx:nobody or I don’t know… Does any of you have any idea of how to set this up? or what should I do?

    Thanks

    Gianfranco
