    hello
i just updated to latest version of NextGEN Gallery and my website is laying down? Why?
    Because of

    1) PHP Fatal error: Class ‘nggdb’ not found in functions.php
    2) PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method nggdb::get_random_images()

this function was working for years and it is not working after update – what i have to do with it?

@moonvader – The get_random_images method is no longer in NextGEN Gallery … what version of NextGEN Gallery did you update from?

can you suggest something like this method??
    or you just deleted it?

if you type this error in google – you will see list of websites that updated your plugin and have same problems but they webmasters can have no idea about it

@moonvader – Perhaps you need to look at a different approach using the IGW (“green button”) to accomplish this display … or perhaps a shortcode would work, but there is simply not enough details from what you have currently supplied to offer any suggestions.

Otherwise, for the most part, custom code is outside the scope of support we provide.

    Thanks!

@moonvader – After some consideration, we have reviewed and will be re-introducing the NextGEN Legacy methods that were removed from NextGEN Gallery (we do not use them ourselves) so older code can be used but we are still recommending the older code using the NextGEN Legacy methods be updated to use the latest methods of NextGEN Gallery.

We hope to have this released very soon and I would expect these issues to be sorted out with your site once you update to the next stable version of NextGEN Gallery.

Thanks, and our apologies for the inconveniences.

    – Cais.

@moonvader – We’ve just released a public beta with a few fixes, including one for this issue:

    http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-latest-beta/

If you test that and confirm the issue is resolved let us know. We’d love to get independent confirmation from a few other sources. But otherwise, we’re hoping to push this as an official release tomorrow. Thanks. (Erick)
