Updated to Nextgen 2.0.7. last version, I got some problems but I was able to solve almost all, but one with colums. Now I have installed beta version 2.0.11 to try it, and everything seems works right in the same way as 2.0.7, but nothing change about one important thing I can’t resolve: nextgen custom field for custom number of colums doesn’t work anymore.
I have set 3 colums in general gallery settings and that’s OK for galleries displayed in post page, but I have also galleries displayed in larger gallery pages and now the custom field with name “ngg_gal_Columns” and value “4” doesn’t work.
That’s very important to me because 3 colums in these pages are few and there’s a lot of blank space.
Please tell me how to make ngg_gal_Colums works again, maybe custom field name has changed?

As stated here ngg_gal_Columns should works.

ngg_gal_Columns (and maybe other custom field) doesn’t work no more, but I’ve found a solution: I’ve set in gallery setting options a 0 value, and colums seems adapting to the page size.
I mark this as resolved for me, even if the object in title isn’t resolved.

Hey…had anybody figured out a fix for this? I need to use custom fields to set different column sizes for various galleries. However when i set field name to “ngg_gal_Columns” and choose a value, i see no changes. kinda frustrating. just setting columns to “0” won’t work for this project. any ideas???? Thx in advance.

p.s. i’m using WordPress 3.7.1 with the Gantry framework theme and NGG 2.0.33

Setting to 0 should works. Try with the other plugins deactivated, with default theme and empty cache, to find if there’s a conflict.

Thx tizz, i’ll try deactiving other plugins and use the default theme and see if it fixes the problem. As far as setting “0”, it does work but I need a specific number of columns for different galleries which have different thumbnail sizes. The only way 0 could possibly work is my specific situation is if i can adjust the padding between thumbnails to effectively force a number of columns. Setting 0 leaves very little space between thumbs. Where is the CSS that controls that? thx again.

Don’t touch original CSS but put your code in Other Options > Styles, in this way the custom code will not be lost with plugin upgrades.
You can safely do your tests on the page using Firebug tool for Firefox or browser Chrome.
