    On my website tropicalwinter.us I’m trying to figure out how to add next/previous post links to the images in my portfolio. Now, if I click on a portfolio image thumbnail it goes to that image, but I would like to be able to click a link to go to the next image, rather than go back to the portfolio page, and then click on an image.

    I’m sorry but as you are using a commercially supported theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers.

    I’m using the Portfolio Press theme, and this is the Portfolio Press theme support forum. Every question on this forum has to do with the theme Portfolio Press, so I fail to see how I’m posting in the wrong spot.

    No, you’re in the right spot.

    Next/Prev on portfolio posts will be in the next released version.

    If you need it right away, you can download it from GitHub:

    If I already have the theme installed and running, what file would i need to DL from github for this added functionality?

    I was just looking into this and discovered you need to update your current single-portfolio.php file

    Mine is now working and previous/next links now visible properly functioning… http://artbabyart.com/main

    Thanks Devin for such a great theme!

    Thanks for the responses. I did finally get it figured out by adding the code into the single-portfolio.php file like theunartist suggested (http://codex.wordpress.org/Next_and_Previous_Links), but it took quite a bit of trial and error, and it’s still not exactly how I want it, but it’s good enough for now, but I will check out that link on github.

    I got it to work by simply copy and paste the updated code onto my current single-portfolio.php page (of course after deleting the content)

    This is the code I copied: https://github.com/devinsays/portfolio-press/blob/master/single-portfolio.php

    Yeah, I didn’t even copy all the code, just the segment at the bottom:

    <nav id="nav-below">
    				<h1 class="screen-reader-text"><?php _e( 'Post navigation', 'portfolioplus' ); ?></h1>
    				<div class="nav-previous"><?php previous_post_link( '%link', '%title <span class="meta-nav">' . _x( '&rarr;', 'Previous post link', 'portfolioplus' ) . '</span>' ); ?></div>
    				<div class="nav-next"><?php next_post_link( '%link', '<span class="meta-nav">' . _x( '&larr;', 'Next post link', 'portfolioplus' ) . '</span> %title' ); ?></div>
    			</nav><!-- #nav-below -->

    Devin – i really like the theme!

    I was just curious, if i wanted to have the portfolio display, as shown on the main portfolio page, to be at the bottom of each post to allow for easy/meaningful navigation between posts beyond a next/previous link, is that possible/plausible?

    Yes, just install the WP Page Navi Plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-pagenavi/

    Hi,

    I was wandering if it would be possible to make Next/Prev on normal posts is possible too by pasting some lines!
