NextGen want to show single image from post, not slideshow

  • I have the NextGen gallery and Colorbox working fine. However, there are posts that have two images but when clicked, I’d like only the one image to enlarge, not show a two-image slideshow. These individual images are NOT in a gallery, at least I didn’t set them up in a gallery. They’re in the library.

The post has a link to a slideshow for all the images and this is sufficient.

    Thanks.

  • I may be wrong, but it sounds like you’re inserting the two images as a gallery

    [nggallery id=X]

    rather than as separate images

    [singlepic id=1]
    [singlepic id=2]

I’m still getting to grips with NGG too, but I’m nearly there. I hope.

This is where I’m totally confused. The iamges are not inside a gallery. I loaded them as individual pictures when I wrote the post and they’re in the library. Yes, I understand they have to be singlepics but it seems to me the problem is being controlled by Colorbox. If I shut off “automatically add colorbox class to images in posts and pages…” I lose the colorbox functionality completely. How do I work around this? THanks.

You’ve surpassed my knowledge on that one! I had an issue with Highslide applying slideshow controls when a single image was enlarged. In the end I dropped HS. I have no experience of Colorbox, so good luck.

Thanks. I’m going to live with it for now. I very much like colorbox and will keep it.
